Kids Times was produced as part of the droichead arts centre education programme for children. 5th class pupils from Marymount GNS and Congress Avenue BNS worked on droichead's Newspaper Project between May and September 2008. Lead artist was Siobhan McManus, who held regular workshops with the pupils to formulate the paper. Photographer Sinead Sarsfield took pupils on field trips where they took their own photos for use in Kids Times, and journalist Caroline Kavanagh gave them an overview of the world of newspapers and journalism. They set the task of becoming young journalists and creating their own newspaper! And as you can see, they have accomplished this with great success!
